Tasik Indah Pura is a nature’s beauty hiding in plain sight. Many hikers would come to this hiking trail in Johor at least once to take photos of this beautiful blue lake! This hiking spot in Johor was once a stone quarry. But, it has been abandoned and revamped by nature into a quarry lake.

This is a roughly 3 KM trail and is considered an easy route. You will take an average of 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes or less to finish depending on your starting point. This trail is excellent for hiking, mount biking, walking, and trail running, and it’s unlikely that you will encounter many people during your exploration.

If you are a keen explorer, you might want to consider hiking the lake’s surrounding area for exciting exploration. On the other hand, if you are here just for the pictures, you can complete this Johor hiking trail in less than an hour without much hiking.

If you are driving, we recommend parking your car around Testing KK (on Google Maps), a local hardware shop. Once you are there, start walking on foot into the forest and towards Gemilang Hill (Bukit Gemilang). The trail should take around 40 to 60 minutes until you reach the quarry lake.

Much of the trails are safe for walking, so that you can bring your family and kids here together for its beautiful scenery and cleaner air.

Depending on the explorers’ purpose, the difficulty levels can vary depending on the path taken. However, it has a beginner-friendly trail, which brings you to Tasik Biru – a turquoise lake near a local quarry site. You can come here for a hike, trail running, and walking with family and kids if you take this beginner-friendly trail.

The closest starting point to this lake is less known to the public, but we have pointed it out below. Paste it into Google Maps, and you are good to go! You will only take about 30 minutes to 60 minutes from the starting point to reach the lake if you only want to take a glamorous picture of this lake.

Most people came here for the photos. But, say you only want to capture the blue lake for memory’s sake, you might want to come here after 10 am so it appears with a richer turquoise. If you are interested in hiking, the moderate level hiking trail could take up to 5 KM and takes an average of 2 hours to finish.

The moderate level trail towards Tasik Biru is a little off-road, and you might see some small animals and monkeys around. You can see this lake from higher views and angles for the perfect “I was here” picture if you take the hiking trail!

The trails from this starting point do not have clear paths, so you need to know your surroundings and whereabouts. If possible, turn on your Google Maps during your hike to know where you are heading.
